Home for the Holidays

The 40 page booklet has designs for mini stockings, pincushions and samplers with instructions of dyeing fabric, making up stockings and painting gift boxes. The patterns are worked in overdyed floss with DMC substitutes in whole cross stitch.

Home for the Holidays - a pincushion stitched in 11 shades of Gentle Arts floss with glass seed beads on 35 count Peep's Lost Sheep by Dames of the Needle. Stitch count of 86w by 88h.

Poinsettia Stocking - stitched in Gentle Arts Cherry Bark and Weeks Dye Works Baked apple for 4-sided stitch and eyelet stitch on 32 count Espresso linen by R & R Reproductions. Stitch Count:  85w by 132h .

My Heart is Home Stocking - with Classic Colorworks Bandana in 4-sided stitch and Gentle Arts Pomegranate and Ruby Slipper on 32ct French Roast by R & R Reproductions. Stitch Count: 89w by 134h.

Gift Basket Stocking - worked in cross stitch and Smyrna cross using Gentle Arts Country Redwood on 32ct Hoffman's Special Blend by R & R Reproductions. Stitch Count: 83w by 133h.

Holly and Ivy Stocking - stitched in Gentle Arts Cherry  Bark and Weeks Baked Apple and Brick on 32ct Old Towne Blend by R & R Reproductions. Stitch Count: 87w by 134h.

Decorating the Tree Stocking - stitched in Gentle Arts Pomegranate and Ruby Slipper and Weeks Merlot on 32ct Hoffman's Special Blend by R & R Reproductions. Stitch Count: 85w by 133h. Correction: Stocking Five (pages 26/27) Symbol for Merlot incorrect. And DMC 815 appears to be a better match than DMC 3862.

The Meadow - a pincushion in six shades of overdyed floss, worked on 30 count Sheeps Straw  linen by R &  R Reproductions. Stitch Count:  60w by 60h. The paper mache chest box that is called for is no longer listed  at Joann's. This one may work Paper Mache Chest Boxes.
