The Sarah Johnson Sampler - Stitched in 1814 in Pennsylvania, the sampler traveled to Ohio with Sarah's family, then on to Oklahoma in the early 1920's. It was stretched and nailed to a wood board for framing, a common technique which often led to deterioration.
